Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP)

The Metropolitan Transportation Plan, or MTP, is updated every five years.  The MTP is a long-range fiscally constrained transportation plan.

The MTP defines how the region's transportation system will develop over at least a 20-year period.  The MTP must be based on goals and objectives developed through a visioning process.  This process must include input from the public and private sectors, and be coordinated with the goals and objectives of local and state long-range plans.  The Final 2010-2035 MTP was approved by the Policy Committee on December 2, 2009.
