The Texas A&M University System had a ceremonial ribbon cutting Wednesday for its Center for Infrastructure Renewal at the RELLIS Campus, featuring a number of political guests, including Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who was credited multiple times throughout the event for his role in getting the facility's funding passed through the state legislature.
Patrick, who closed out the ceremony, praised the work being done by the Texas A&M System and said he looks forward to seeing the work that comes out of the center. Also in attendance was Tommy Williams, senior adviser for fiscal affairs in the Texas governor's office, who was attending as a representative of Gov. Greg Abbott. On behalf of Abbott, Williams presented the A&M System with a proclamation recognizing the milestone.
