Nighttime Work on FM 2154

TxDOT

BRAZOS COUNTY – TxDOT’s contractor, Knife River Corporation, will begin replacement of the roadway surface on FM 2154 (Wellborn Road) between FM 60 (University Drive) and Southwest Parkway on Monday, July 20th. There will be approximately 2 nights of pavement repairs followed by approximately 10 nights of milling and surfacing operations. Lane closures on FM 2154 for this work will be restricted to the nighttime hours of 7:00 pm through 6:00 am, Sunday through Thursday.

This work is part of a larger $1.6 million project to resurface FM 2154 from FM 60 (University Drive) to Southwest Parkway, replace the rail on FM 2154 over FM 60 (University Drive), and improve the ADA accessible ramps at the FM 2347 (George Bush Drive) intersection.

During construction, TxDOT reminds drivers to be alert for construction personnel, equipment, and traffic control for lane closures on FM 2154 (Wellborn Road). Law enforcement will be assisting with traffic control through major intersections as well. TxDOT appreciates the patience and attentiveness of drivers during this construction.
