In the News: Some Traffic Changes Made for Gameday in Aggieland

Football season will again open at Kyle Field on a Thursday, and some slight changes to the traffic management plan are expected this year. 

Last year’s home opener was the first time Texas A&M hosted a non-Thanksgiving Thursday night regular-season game since 2005. Handling a regular class day’s worth of traffic in addition to a football game went smoothly overall, said Tim Lomax, research fellow at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, but some changes that came out of lessons learned aim to make the day less restrictive for students and university employees.
