newspaper black smaller

Community members are being asked for their requests for future transportation projects in the Bryan-College Station metropolitan area.

The project requests are being accepted b the Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Planning Organization through March 29.  They could be prioritized in the MPO's Metropolitan Transportation Plan, which identifies long-range transportation planning needs and recommendations for transportation network issues for the next 25 years.

Those types of projects include major highway improvements for mobility and safety, transit routes, bicycle and pedestrian facilities and more.

To submit a project for consideration, email Daniel Rudge at drudge@bcsmpo.org or submit them in writing to the MPO at 309 North Washing Avenue, Suite 14 in Bryan.  A comment form can also be filled out online at www.bcsmpo.og by clicking the "contact us" button.

Members of the public are encouraged to provide detailed project descriptions when submitting requests, and to indicate the name or route numbers of specific roadway or active transportation corridors along with beginning and end points or intersections.  If special accommodations are needed to submit a request, contact Lisa Lyon at 979-260-598 or at llyon@bcsmpo.org.
