newspaper black smaller

The city of College Station reinstated Ofo’s license to operate in the city today, two weeks after it had been revoked due to lapsed auto liability insurance.

The Chinese bike-sharing company has updated its insurance, according to the city manager’s office, and fulfilled other requirements to have its permit reinstated. It’s valid through Aug. 23, 2019, but it’s still unclear how long the company will ultimately be allowed to stay in the city. Its new insurance is only valid through Dec. 12.
