Lawmakers from three states have co-sponsored a bill to expand the
Interstate 14 corridor, which has long been envisioned to pass through Bryan-College Station.

According to the Gulf Coast Strategic
Highway Coalition, the group advocating for the interstate -- eight Republican congressmen from Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi --
introduced a bill Monday to extend the corridor eastward into Louisiana and Mississippi. The first 25 miles of the interstate, from Killeen to
Fort Hood, were designated in 2017.
